SCORM hosting
SCORM course hosting with tracking that works
Bring the SCORM courses you already own. OurTrainingRoom plays them, records progress and scores, and adds certificates, renewals and reporting around them.
What SCORM is, briefly
SCORM is the common standard for packaging e-learning courses so they can run in any compatible learning management system. Most course authoring tools can publish a SCORM package. The two versions in wide use are SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004.
What OurTrainingRoom supports
- SCORM 1.2 packages.
- SCORM 2004 packages.
- Courses published from authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and iSpring.
- Other learning materials, such as videos, documents and H5P activities, alongside your SCORM courses.
Some courses open in their own window. If a learner's browser blocks pop-ups, they are prompted to allow them for OurTrainingRoom.
More than a place to put files
Hosting a course is only part of the job. Once a SCORM course is in OurTrainingRoom it becomes part of everything else in the platform:
- Assign it to people or groups, or add it to a pathway or the elective catalogue.
- Track progress, completion and scores on each learner's transcript.
- Follow it with a final exam and issue a certificate when the learner passes.
- Set a renewal period so it comes back onto the agenda when it is due.
- Report on it by group, supervisor and date.
Moving from another LMS
If your courses are already published as SCORM packages for another system, they can usually be loaded into OurTrainingRoom. Talk to us about what you have, including the training history you want to keep, and we will tell you plainly what moving would involve.
